Training for Local People

G. Purchase Construction Ltd is keen to support clients' initiatives to regenerate and develop sustainable communities. A key element of this is the training of local people. We employ craft apprentices (e.g. plumbing, plastering, carpentry), clerical trainees (e.g. NVQ Business Studies, AAT) and undergraduates (BSC Honours in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying) and sponsor youngsters to gain additional qualifications. Last year we won the Employer of the Year Award for supporting learners into employment (see Latest News). More recently one of our clerical trainees, Regena Chaunkria, and one of our Customer Liaison Officers, Angie Brown, both received recognition under the Walsall Lifelong Learning Awards programme for their efforts. The certificates were presented by Jo Brand at a ceremony held at the Banks's stadium on Wednesday 5th March 2008.
