Working in the Community

G Purchase Construction Ltd value the local communities within which it operates and endeavours to contribute positively to the community sustainability agenda.

At Castle Vale, for example, we have worked in partnership with The Castle Vale School, The International School and Education business links to accommodate work experience placements for year 10 and 11 students.

We are also actively involved in supporting the “4 real life” project which is funded through the European Social Fund.

The work experience allows the young people attending to understand more clearly the responsibilities of a work environment and for them to experience working as part of a team. Immediately following the work experience we work with the young people, the schools and other agencies with a view to identifying areas where the young person can progress i.e. full time or part time work, training programmes or higher education.
