TRIDENT HOUSING ASSOCIATION

G. Purchase Construction Ltd was appointed in February 2006 to undertake Trident’s Decent Homes Pilot Scheme. This comprised of:

• New kitchens
• New bathrooms with showers
• Full electrical rewires
• Replacement of central heating
• Window Replacements

All works to the 31 properties involved were completed before the end of April 2006.

We have also undertaken kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, central heating installations, and electrical rewires as well as extensive preparatory asbestos removal to flats in Dominic Drive, and the replacement of Central Heating systems to the Templefields Estate.

In July 2007, following a stringent and robust OJEU Procurement process G. Purchase Construction Ltd was awarded the Decent Homes Programme for 2007 – 2010. The Project is being delivered under a PPC 2000 Framework Agreement and is valued at approximately £7 Million over its duration.

The works comprise:

• New kitchens
• New bathrooms with showers
• Full electrical rewires
• Replacement of gas central heating
• Replacement of PVCu windows and doors
• Asbestos removal to facilitate the improvements
• Re-roofing and other structural repairs and environmental improvement works.

The programme is being assisted by Walsall Housing Group who are undertaking certain Contract Administration roles on Trident’s behalf.
